Cleveland Public Power learned this week that customers on the City’s northeast side, specifically in United States Postal codes 44110 and 44119 experienced a delay in receiving their August bills. These bills were sent out approximately three weeks late and when received this week, the bills were already past due.
We apologize for this error and want to assure you there will be no penalties assessed because of this mistake.
The September bills should be going out early next week, but should not reflect any past due amounts associated with this delay. Please pay your bill as you normally would.
Thank you to the customers who brought this error to our attention, and again we apologize for this delay.
Remember you can pay your bill online by clicking here. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Customer Service at 216.664.4600.
CLEVELAND –Cleveland Public Power’s (CPP) administrative offices will be closed on Friday, September 3, Saturday September 4 and Monday, September 6, 2010 in observance
of the Labor Day Holiday. The additional day is a Furlough Holiday in line with the concessions Cleveland Public Power workers agreed to earlier this year.
While the administrative offices and most field crews will not be working, the regularly scheduled Trouble Crews will be on hand in the case of any emergencies or outages. Customers needing to pay their bills can do so by visiting CPP’s website at www.cpp.org.
The administrative offices will reopen, and crews will return to work on Tuesday, September 7, 2010.
It’s Talk Back Tuesday, and this week we are responding to a customer inquiry into the EAC or Energy Adjustment Charge listed on your monthly bill.
So during a recent community festival a young lady asked, “What is this EAC charge on my bill. ”
Well the answer to the question is as follows, “The Energy Adjustment Charge (EAC) portion of the bill represents the costs associated with the power you use. Cleveland Public Power buys the power for you and then charges it back to you.”
I hope this clears up the question of the EAC. If you have a question, please send it to cppgreen at gmail dot com, and we will research your question.
Cleveland Public Power will representatives from the Divisions of Water, Water Pollution Control and Waste at a Customer Service Fair this Wednesday, March 24th from 6-8 p.m. at Estabrook Recreation Center, 4135 Fulton Rd.
CPP Marketing Manager Shelley Shockley answers a customer question.
The Customer Service Fair is the second in an on-going series of Fairs offering City residents an opportunity to meet with representatives from the Department of Public Utilities to discuss concerns, and to learn about new initiatives aimed at offering better service. Also on hand will be representatives from the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District.
The first Customer Service Fair was held in February in Ward 11, and despite frightful weather residents came out to discuss their utility issues and concerns.
So if you have questions about billing or any other issues, come on out Wednesday and customer service representatives will be on hand to answer your questions and take your recommendations for better service!
At Cleveland Public Power we are committed to providing affordable and reliable energy and energy services! Most importantly, while providing this service we put our customers first!
Here at Cleveland Public Power we are working to make life a little easier for our customers, and what better way to achieve this goal than by offering Pay-By-Phone and Online bill pay?!
For a little more than a year, customers have been afforded the opportunity to pay their electric bills on line using Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. Without a lot of fanfare, our loyal customers have found their way to our website at http://www.cpp.org and paid their monthly bills.
We are excited to tell you that now you can also use electronic checks to pay your CPP bill online, and for those customers not ready to make the jump to internet bill pay – you can do the same via telephone.
Just this month CPP launched a new Pay-By-Phone service where our customers may not call 216.420.8000 to pay their monthly bills using Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express or electronic check.
These are just a few of the measures that Cleveland Public Power will initiate to ensure our customers receive the service they Can Count On!
