National Battery Day

These batteries are backup power in the event of a power outage at our substations.

Today is “National Battery Day” and here at CPP batteries play an important role in our daily operations. Housed in all of our substations you will find battery strings ranging from 48 to 250 volts DC. The key purpose of these batteries is to provide backup power for vital functions during an outage situation should the substation lose power.

So what do you use batteries for in your home or office? Do you have batteries on hand in case of an emergency? We’d love to hear what you use them for.
